Dr. Jared Oldham
Dr. Jared Oldham was born on the Navajo Nation and spent his childhood developing an interest in veterinary medicine there. His interest blossomed as he grew up in his father’s veterinary clinic performing responsibilities from cleaning kennels, patient care and even answering phones. Then the Oldham family moved to Lander, WY, where Jared attended highschool and developed a love for ranching and the outdoors. They now own & operate the Double D Ranch which consist of approximately 350 commercial cows, 10 brood mares, 30 show ewes and they manage 225 wild horses at the Wind River Wild Horse Sanctuary.
Dr. Oldham received his Bachelors in Animal Science at Kansas State University while competing on their collegiate livestock judging team. He completed veterinary school at Washington State University, followed by two equine internships. One internship at Chaparral Medical Center (AZ) and the second at Brazos Valley Equine Hospital-Salado (TX). Professionally, his medical interest lies predominantly in equine and large animal medicine with specifics such as sports medicine, surgery, emergency, and theriogenology.
When he is not pursuing professional endeavors he spends his time on the ranch, hiking, hunting, judging livestock shows, and at the gym.
